The tax obligation amounts are the same, just due Jan-Feb (discount) Mar-April (face) or May-June 15 (penalty). If you were missed in the July mailing, on January 1st, a "Supplemental" mid-year tax bill will be mailed. If you claim this exemption, but find your income has increased beyond the $6,000 before the end of the year, you must come into the office to pay the Occupation amount. Pennsylvania taxable income is or will be less than $6,000 for the current tax year. There are certain partial exemptions which will remove the Occupation Tax amount. The School tax year is July 1 through June 30th. The only exception is if you are 18 and still in high school.
